JebChem 7602 is a silica matting agent for water-based overprint varnish (OPV). Produced by an advanced chemical precipitation process, this product is used in paints and printing inks to create a non-glossy surface with a smooth touch and high transparency.
In printing, matting agent is widely used for matt overprint varnish. These processes require a very thin film of coating, which JebChem 7602 is suitable for. Being a highly efficient and cost-effective matting agent, only small quantities are needed in order to achieve quality gloss reduction. Its exceptional storage stability means large quantities of JebChem 7602 can be stored safely for a prolonged period of time. These qualities render this product ideal for various coating applications, including PU/NC/AC wood, plastic, and industrial coating.

The overprint varnish application method is simulated by a hand proofer which uses 200 line per inch anilox roll. Customers can use the same hand proofer as an applicator to determine the performance of matting agents for their water-based OPV.
