JebChem 5204
JebChem 5204 is a substrate-wetting agent composed of a mixture of silicone-free surfactants. Not only does it display excellent static and dynamic substrate-wetting properties, it also has a good anti-foaming and anti-crater effect. With these qualities and its pigment-wetting properties, this product is suitable for water-based printing inks and overprint varnish (OPV). This Gemini surfactant can increase the wettability of the substrate via a reduction of the substrate surface tension, while minimising the formation of foam. This helps achieve a desirable, even, and smooth spread of coating and ink.

The above test results show that even at just 0.5%, JebChem 5204 can effectively reduce substrate surface tension, lower contact angle, and counter foaming and crater issues in the acrylic clear paint. When JebChem 5204 is used, the resultant spread of paint is observed to be significantly smoother and more even than the control spread of paint without the surfactant.
