OUR HISTORY

Jebsen & Jessen Ingredients, formerly Jebsen & Jessen Chemicals, is part of the Jebsen & Jessen Group of Companies South East Asia, headquartered in Singapore. The chemicals business has been a core business of the group’s history since it was founded in 1963. As a chemicals distribution specialist we expanded from the initial two markets of Singapore and Malaysia to Thailand and Indonesia in the 1970s, Vietnam and the Philippines in the 1990s and Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos after 2011. With a growing need to offer a diverse portfolio of both speciality chemicals and ingredients for food, agribusiness and pharmaceuticals, we expanded our business and portfolio by acquiring Helm Mahaboon in 2010. In 2015 we changed our name to better suit our broad offerings spanning more than 100 supplier partners across six business lines. Beyond South East Asia we are represented in China through a joint venture with our sister company Jebsen Industrial Specialty Ingredients & Solutions Business. We also work closely with our sister company Jebsen & Jessen (GmbH & Co. KG) in Hamburg, Germany.
