Highlights from the “Beauty Secret Recipe” Workshop

The morning lecture was led by Dr. Valeria Quaranta, R&D Manager at Innovacos, who provided a deep dive into Innovacos’ two lines of ingredients: Actives and Formulience™ – designed to meet diverse skincare needs. The Actives line offers ingredients for anti-aging, anti-perfections, skin lightening, and environmental protection. Formulience™, which combines formulation and science, includes ingredients with clinical benefits such as emulsifiers, emollients, as well as a line of solubilisers.

The afternoon lab session, led by Dr. Quaranta with assistance from Khun Orranit of JJIT’s Regional Personal Care Lab, allowed participants to experience formulation firsthand. Two prototype formulations, Guava Smoothie and Lemon Jelly, showcased the practical applications of Innovacos ingredients.

The Guava Smoothie formulation featured Bioptimized™ Guava as the active ingredient, known for its “detox system” effect that helps inhibit skin inflammation. Emollient innollient™ LO enhanced the formulation’s spreadability and smoothness, creating a silky texture. PolyAquol™-2W provided stability and a low-viscosity feel. This green formulation highlighted how a minimal yet effective ingredient list can offer enhanced skin comfort and environmental responsibility. 

The Lemon Jelly formulation offered a transformative texture that acts like an oily gel on application, dissolving impurities and turning into a milk upon contact with water, leaving a soft, refreshed complexion. Containing Activoil™ Kerox-Pro for lash and brow protection, this formulation is a high-lipid phase O/W emulsion, supported by PolyAquol™-2W and PolyAquol™-LW for stability and easy rinsing. This preservative-free, green formulation is designed for effective cleansing and skin hydration.

The workshop received a positive response from attendees, who praised the depth of knowledge and practical expertise shared. This successful event underscores JJIT’s focus on advancing as a trusted leader in personal care innovation, providing solutions for healthier, more radiant skin.
