From Challenges to Solutions: Driving the Future of Industrial Coatings
Event Overview
Jebsen & Jessen Ingredients Thailand, Coating & Resins department recently hosted “Innovating Coatings: Solutions for Performance and Market Trends” in Bangkok, welcoming 112 participants from leading paint and coatings manufacturers across Thailand. The audience represented a strong cross-section of the industry, including owners and top management, R&D, purchasing, plant managers, technical teams, and sales teams, making the event a valuable platform for both strategic and technical exchange. Importantly, this seminar marked a meaningful milestone for our Coatings & Resins business in Thailand as it was the first customer technology seminar of this scale in 10 years, and it was a true pleasure to reconnect and welcome customers back for in-person knowledge sharing.
Under the theme “From Challenges to Solutions: Driving the Future of Industrial Coatings,” the seminar delivered practical insights into performance-driven technologies and evolving market needs, reflected in an overall satisfaction score of 93%. The technical program featured expert sessions by
- Elementis Specialty, highlighting smart additives that support improved flow, durability, and formulation stability;
- Huntsman Specialty, sharing innovations in epoxy systems that combine long-term durability, chemical resistance, and application efficiency; and
- Orion S.A., showcasing next-generation jetness pigments that deliver deep black intensity and premium aesthetics for high-impact finishes.
- The program concluded with JEBCHEM® by Jebsen & Jessen Ingredients, presenting high-efficiency and hydrophobic matting additives designed to go beyond appearance control by enhancing surface durability, tactile feel, and overall coating performance.
Beyond the presentations, one of the most engaging parts of the day was the interactive station visits. Customers rotated through dedicated stations hosted jointly by our sales teams and supplier partners, where products and technologies were explained in greater detail. Participants had the opportunity to see, touch, and smell real coating samples and prototypes, which brought the technical discussion to life and encouraged meaningful one-on-one exchanges around real formulation challenges and potential solutions.
